XA - XB Information
XA Ford Falcon
The XA was the first falcon to be designed and manufactured in Australia and was sold in 1972 and 73.
The list options was extensive compared to previous models in all body styles.
For the first time the XA Falcon WAS fitted with in-dash vents for face level flow-thru ventilation, All V8 engines offered were now Cleveland’s with the Windsor engines not available inn any model. Front quarter vent windows were no longer standard fitment and only available as an option. One of the most exciting options was fitted to Fairmont wagons, a dual-action tailgate that could be opened either downwards or sideways

XB Information
The XB Falcon received some minor cosmetic differences over the XA to give the car a more muscular stance. Sold from 1973 to 1976 this was the first model to have front disc brakes as standard. The engine and transmissions options remained the same from the XA models and the XB was the last model to have a GT option.
